Game story
Five hungry mice clans have overtaken the residence but only one will reign supreme! In Head of Mousehold, each player heads a mouse clan and strives to outwit the other clan leaders by sending their mice on risky missions. If successful, the mice will bring back a nice piece of smelly cheese for the entire group to enjoy. Sadly, some will fail at terrible cost! Use deduction and anticipate your opponents’ moves as the wisest clan leader will claim victory!

How to play

The first player draws a daily event card and reads it out loud.

Each player places a Mouse card under a Mousetrap card.

This is a game that is clean and simple to explain, and the mechanisms not only work well but are tightly aligned with the game’s theme, making learning the game that much smoother. It offers a smattering of bluffing for people who don’t like “lying” games like The Resistance, and it plays fast enough that it’s easily played twice in a lunch hour once people know the game.

It’s a great way for young kids to learn simple strategy and get them thinking a bit further than just picking the matching color card from their deck. Older players will look over the simplicity of game play and completely focus on what the others players are going to do. For them it becomes a game of trying to outsmart each other.
